Organic Garden
Situation:
We identified that an area behind a place of Peace Park can be a potential candidate to fulfill the environmental aspect.
Proposed Solution:
Earth Club is proposing an idea to use the unused land to grow our own SWA Organic Garden. The primary goal of this project is to educated ours about the importance of the organic garden by having small sales of the crops in our educational campaign. Through this project, we are trying to reduce our large carbon footprint as a direct result of the use of the wide range facilities offered by SWA. At the same time, this project would lead SWA another step closer to its vision. Another goal of this project it to build a place where everyone in the community can be a part of, which in this case is an organic garden. Through the realization of the project, we are providing a very small solution that can engage, act, thrive and create a big impact in the future in the everlasting debate of the Global Warming.
Implementation:
After the approval of the design plan of the garden by the school, Earth Club members will clear the weeds in the area and fertilize the soil using our compost materials. Initial planting of the seeds will be started within 2 weeks of approval. A sustainable garden will be maintained by Earth Club.
